Cancellation and Refund Policy

At AVIXA, we aim to provide flexibility to accommodate the needs of our students. Below is our cancellation policy regarding registration for online, virtual classrooms, and in-person training.

Online (On-Demand) Training

1. How to Cancel Your Registration

  • Contact your member services account manager directly or email [email protected] to create a case.

2. Refund Policy

  • Refund requests for online courses must be made within three (3) business days from the date of purchase.
  • No refunds will be issued if any course has been started.
  • You will lose access to any online training immediately after your refund is issued.

Virtual Classroom and In-Person Training

1. How to Cancel Your Registration

  • If you are within the US/Canada, contact Matt Bercot at [email protected].
  • If you are outside of the US/Canada, contact your member services account manager directly or email [email protected] to create a case.

2. Refund Policy

  • Cancellation requests made 30 days or more before the course start date qualify for a full refund.
  • Cancellation requests made no fewer than 3 business days before the start of a virtual classroom or no fewer than 7 business days before the start of an in-person course qualify for a gift card in the amount spent on the course.
  • Failure to request cancellation before the above-mentioned cut-offs will result in the forfeiture of any funds paid and will not qualify for a refund or gift card.
  • In this case, there still exists the option to transfer the registration to another student (i.e. a co-worker).
  • AVIXA reserves the right to cancel courses due to lack of enrollment. Non-refundable expenses are the responsibility of the registrant. 

3. Gift Card Redemption

  • The gift card will be issued electronically.
  • The gift card can be redeemed at any time and can only be used for a virtual classroom or in-person training registration.
  • Gift cards cannot be used for any AVIXA trade shows (i.e. InfoComm).
  • There are no expiration dates for gift cards, ensuring you have the flexibility to choose a future course that fits your schedule.
  • You cannot use multiple forms of payment for an invoice, so you will need to add funds to your gift card if the total exceeds the balance remaining on your gift card (e.g. if your gift card is worth $100 and the total for your purchase is $200, you will need to add $100 to your gift card before making the purchase).
  • You may use a gift card more than once (e.g. if the total for your purchase is $100, and your gift card is worth $200, you can use half of it towards your purchase and still have $100 left; you can add additional funds at any time).
  • Gift cards are transferable and can be used by the original registrant or another person.

 4. Attendance

  • Your seat will only be guaranteed upon receipt of full payment. If the course reaches max registration before your payment is received in full, you will not be able to register for the course.
  • Classroom courses will begin and end as scheduled.
  • Any student who misses 2 or more hours of class time for a course that’s less than 24 hours, or 4 or more hours of class time for a course that’s 24 hours or longer, will not be granted a certificate of completion, earn any renewal units (RUs), or be eligible for a transfer.
  • If absence or late arrival is due to inclement weather, illness, or family emergencies, you may be eligible for a transfer.

Membership

1. Individual (Premium/Elite) Memberships

  • You are eligible for a refund for your Individual membership if you purchase an Enterprise membership within 30 days of purchasing the Individual membership (e.g. you purchase a Premium membership, then decide within 30 days to purchase a Bronze membership).
  • If you purchase an Enterprise membership 30 or more days after purchasing an Individual membership, you can apply the Individual membership payment towards the Enterprise membership purchase (e.g. you purchase a Premium membership, then decide 31 days later to purchase a Bronze Membership; your Premium membership payment will be applied towards your Bronze membership payment, lowering the balance).

2. Enterprise (Bronze/Silver/Gold) Memberships

  • Enterprise members are non-refundable
